My list of a couple of questions .
2. Nursing bras- what is your favorites and why and where did you get them? did you get sleeping ones too?
3. Did you buy a special gown for the hospital or just wear the pretty ones they offer?
4. Etiquette question I had alot of people who didn't show at the last minute to my baby shower and have asked what do we still need... are they being nice or should I be honest and say Walmart gift cards would be great to put towards our bigger items???
Okay I guess that is all I have for now! Thanks in advance!

I used dreft on Bailey's laundry until she was 1. This time I started using dreft but I think that when it runs out I am going to start using ALL free and clear for the girls clothing - heck, maybe for the whole household.
Nursing bras - I have 2 plain old white cotton ones from walmart - seriously they are so comfy!!! I use them at night and when I am at home - otherwise I still wear my victorias secret bras when I go out and just pull my breast out of the top - I need the extra lift and support for my ta-tas, especailly after WLS and 2 babies!
I took my own pjs to the hospital this time. I never leaked on any of them. I bought several pairs of really comfy cotton nursing sets from motherhood maternity - the rocked!
I have several people that keep asking me what I want for the baby before they come to visit. I am with you - do they mean it or are they just being nice??? My response has been - please don't feel obligated to bring anything, we would just love to see you - however, if you really want to get us something - hook us up with Target gift cards - we got diapers to buy!!! :)
2. My friends SWEAR by a nursing bra at Nordstrom. If I can get the name of it, I will.
3. I used theirs because I wasn't sure how yucky I'd be. I'm thinking of getting a pretty one from a maternity shop.
4. Be honest. People want to get you what you really need. I hate getting stuff that I didn't ask for or didn't register for...I either already have it or don't want it and that's WHY I didn't register for it. You could just tell them that "there are some big items we still need and they are at Walmart...giftcards to help purchase those things would be nice!" I love getting and giving gift cards...

2. I wasn't able to nurse exclusively so I don't have much advice there... But I did own one nursing bra from Wal-Mart that helped me get thru the "drying up" phase once the milk came in a few days after we came home from the hospital...
3. I used their gowns... But I brought my own bath robe to wear over it when I was out walking the halls...
4. I would tell them a Wal-Mart gift card would be much appreciated... I don't feel it's being rude at all because that way you can get what you need... As for me, I got a TON (and I mean a ton) of blankets which I ended up taking back to Wal-mart and exchanging for something we needed...

150# kept off over 5 years now - Thank you Dr Kim!!!
Beth,
1. I used Dreft with my daughter until she was about 1 and am using it again with my son.
2. I love my nursing bra! It has a little pink slider thing in front so you can keep track of which side you nursed on last. It's very comfy and supportive.

1. Yes-I used Tide Free because I have a HE washer. But probably by 3 months I had slowly changed to what we use (Tide HE) because she was against me, on my bed, etc and never had any skin issues with it..so we started with socks, etc. She was A okay with it.
2. Didn't nurse - no advice
3. I didn't buy special items I wore my regular PJ's from home...(PJ pants and tee shirt, or a long tee shirt) I wouldnt want my rear catching a draft in their lovely items. Though I certainly did use their mesh undies...loved those suckers for the big old pads they gave. They told us in class we would love those mesh undies..they later made me a believer.
4. If they ask, I would tell them gift cards for all those last minute things or items you still need to purchase they may be expensive. I think most people wouldn't blink an eye at that request. Hope the shower was great.
